After successfully testing the online medium, Bombay Shirt Company is all set to open brick-and-mortar store, at Kala Ghoda area in Mumbai. Founded

by Akshay Narvekar, the brand offers a healthy mix of quirky, trendy designs as well as corporate staples for both men and women.

Their collection includes an extensive range of 130 fabrics that can be mixed and matched with different shirt elements like collars, cuffs, buttons and so on, as well as design options such as contrast fabrics and pipings. In April, this year, the company had unveiled its women’s collection designed by StyleCracker, an online personal styling platform. The debut capsule collection for women included a range of shirts with colourful checks, stripes, and contrasting collars and cuffs.

While the e-commerce platform was launched just a couple of years back, the company had started taking up a lot of offline work as well that included a traveling tailor concept, where a tailoring expert is sent to a client’s house to take measurements, show fabrics and so on. It also has a pop-up store that keeps going from one place to the other. Expansion through MBOs and in the international markets is also on the company’s agenda.
