Bridal week to open on July 23rd in New Delhi

The India Bridal Fashion Week (IBFW) will begin on July 23.

The event, which has so far been hosted in Mumbai, will be held in New Delhi this time round. The extravaganza will have a mix of bridal and couture collections by a range of designers of the country. Chitrangada Singh will be the brand ambassador for India Bridal Fashion Week.

Most bridal designers have their ateliers and customers in Delhi. Delhi is a huge market for bridal wear and next year IBFW hopes to add London to the list. Participating designers at the six-day event include JJ Valaya, Tarun Tahilani, Raghavendra Rathore, Shantanu and Nikhil, Falguni and Shane Peacock, Rohit Bal, Suneet Varma, Ashima Leena, Meera and Muzaffar Ali, Adarsh Gill, Jyotsana Tiwari and Rina Dhaka.

There will also be a bridal expo - Bridal Luxury Couture Exposition - which will run simultaneously with IBFW. It will feature 65 top designers and creative wedding planners who will interact directly with customers. The Mumbai edition of IBFW will be held later this year, and it will feature one of Bollywood's favourite designers, Manish Malhotra.
