Claire’s comes to India through DLF Brands

DLF Brands has brought America’s leading fashion

accessories brand Claire’s with its first store launch in India. Claire’s has an electric mix of accessories and jewelry targeted at kids, tweens, teens and young women around the world. This is not the first international brand DLF Brands has introduced in India. The company has been instrumental in bringing in some of the most sought after international brands like Boggi Milano, DKNY, Alcott, Sunglass Hut, ELC, Mothercare, et al to India.

Dipak Agarwal, Chief Executive-Operations and Strategy at DLF Brands says it is a 100 per cent franchise store and is part of their overall strategy of bringing new range of product lines to customers. The fashion accessories market in India is largely dominated by unbranded players, therefore we see a huge market potential for branded players in this segment.

The market, currently, stands at an approximately Rs 1,000 crores and is growing at about 20 per cent. And DLF has seen a growth of about 23-28 per cent in the last two years. DLF Brands has always been very selective of the brands that they introduce and now have plans to open over 30 Claire’s store across India in the next three years.

Claire’s operates through its two store concepts: Claire’s Globally and Icing in North America and has got 3,047 stores in North America and Europe. The company also has 381franchised or licensed stores in Japan, the Middle East, Turkey, Russia, Greece, Guatemala, Malta, Ukraine and Mexico.
