Mumbai-based T-shirt e-retailer Blue Bus Tees has received
undisclosed funding from the Deesan Group, a Mumbai-based cotton textile manufacturer. The company plans to use the amount to launch a babywear section and re-launch its women’s wear section.Blue Bus Tees was started by Abhir Khanna and Pranav Kapur in 2009. While Kapur has a family business in apparel and has been working there for the past decade, Khanna graduated from Purdue University (US) and joined Kapur in this venture. Blue Bus Tees is part of the offline business that Kapur runs.
The e-commerce platform focuses on developing slogan T-shirts for the youth (men and women). T-shirts with catchy captions are the main offerings while buyers can design their own T-shirts as well. “You can expect reasonable prices, fantastic captions, a service that leaves nothing desired and a 100 percent customer friendly policy when you buy a tee from us. You can also expect to attract attention and turn a lot of heads you when you wear a tee that you have bought from us,” say the promoters on their website.
