The second edition of the Synergy 1 Delhi Couture Week held

from July 22 to 25 at the Taj Palace Hotel, New Delhi was a success especially from the business point of view. The event had 12 leading couturiers which include Varun Bahl, JJ Valaya, Manav Gangwani, Suneet Varma, Shantanu and Nikhil, Manish Malhotra, Gaurav Gupta and Rohit Bal showcasing their collections. The sets and the ramps were made by designers to ensure the overall setting played a key role in enhancing the couture. The show was a huge hit with buyers.

Buyers from retail houses like Azaa, Ogaan and Ensemble were impressed with the kind of garments showcased on the ramp this season. Designer Leena Singh’s collection titled Adaa was sold five times over. Shantanu and Nikhil got a tumultuous response to their collection titled Perfume. Manish Malhotra’s entire collection was bought by designer boutique Karma. Varun Bahl`s line was taken over by Ensemble, Aza and Ogaan. The fashion extravaganza proved to be an ideal business platform for all participants to widen their customer base. Designer duo Shantanu and Nikhil, who showcased a collection titled ‘Perfume’, were amazed at the response they received after the show. Shantanu said it was a consumer event which went amazingly well. At out show, he had at least 70 per cent of his clients. While Synergy 1 was the official sponsor, Aircel was the associate sponsor. The event was also backed by partners like Signature from United Spirits, Kingfisher Ultra by United Breweries and Mitsubishi Outlander.
