On Day four, Katrina Kaif is expected to walk the ramp as the show stopper for designer Manish Malhotra, say sources. Filmmaker Karan Johar and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Alia Bhatt, who is debuting with Johar’s ‘Student of the Year’, will cheer the designer from the front row. Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who is closing the Couture Week, is bringing actor Sridevi as a front row guest for his show. Designer Manav Gangwani, who is also showcasing on the last day will have Bollywood stars for his show.

Though the fashion gala’s main venue is Taj Palace for all five days, there will be two off-site shows. Valaya will present his collection at The Grand Hotel on opening day, while designers Anamika Khanna and Gaurav Gupta will have a combined show at the Evoluzione Thursday.

The event will also see a joint collaboration of Indo-Dutch fashion. Co-initiated by the FDCI foundation, HTNK Fashion recruitment and consultancy foundation and House of Denim, the programme is titled ‘Dutch Fashion Here & Now India’. The three-year collaboration will see two designers from Netherlands collaborate with two names from the Indian fashion fraternity to showcase a collection at later date.
