Delhi flavor at Hauz Khas

Sherry Kohli’s clothing line that reflects the Hauz Khas flavor has opened a store in Mumbai.

Kohli’s 1,000 sq. ft. boutique at Juhu, Mumbai showcases many talented designers from Delhi’s famed Hauz Khas Village along with some designers from Kolkata under one roof. With the intent of bringing the Delhi flavor to Mumbai’s fashion, Kohli started Hauz Khas in 1998 catering to women. It bridges the gap between Mumbai and Delhi fashion and specializes in ethnic and Indo-western wear for women. The collection focuses on smart and chic ethnic wear with drape saris and at prices that are extremely pocket-friendly.

The Juhu store provides the colors of sea, sun and surf along with the actual feel of nature. Hauz Khas houses the work of designers like Shyam Narayan, Priya Avasthi, Jaspreet, Abhilasha Dastoor, Mudita and Deepak Bhutani. All of these designers are carefully selected for their distinct specialty like Mudita for her gota work and Bhutani for his distinct anarkalis. One more Hauz Khas store will open at Mumbai’s Kemps Corner on September 15 dedicated to Indo-western wear and an exhaustive collection promising chic ethnic fashion with western motifs and colors.
