Designer Aneet Arora at Pitti

Pitti Uomo is held in Florence and is perhaps the most popular menswear trade event in Europe.

Organised by Pitti Immagine, this year’s event saw the only Indian designer Aneet Arora showcasing her label Pero’s menswear collection. Arora is not new to Pitti Immagine as she displayed her kids wear collection last year at Pitti Bimbo.

Arora says after Paris and New York, Florence seems to be the next fashion destination. Pitti Uomo was a rewarding experience for her. Arora’s designs were much appreciated at the even as a great testimony to Arora and Pero, a well known European buyer said this is the first time that he caught a glimpse of its offering for men. “It looked simple, stylish and very wearable.”

Pitti Immagine is a great platform for Indian designers to showcase their collections as some of the most important buyers frequent this event, representing boutiques and department stores from all around the world. Held every season in Florence, Pitti Uomo and Pitti W are two of the most sought-after fashion fairs in Europe. This season, the fair assumed a bigger size with over 1,000 brands showing in the men’s section and about 90 in the women’s section. Featuring bespoke jeans, shirts made with innovations, impeccably tailored suits and bespoke fragnances, several buyers from around the world attended it.
