After Tarun Tahiliani teaming up with Levi’s for its Diva collection now Rogue menswear designer

Kunal Rawal is tying up with Provogue to design a menswear collection. Following the success of his Cuban inspired spring/summer line for Lakme Fashion Week, Rawal is all set to bring his easy aesthetic to the popular fashion brand. Meanwhile, Narendra Kumar Ahmed is also designing a line for Killer Jeans. Kumar too has designed for Provogue earlier and regularly designs capsule collections for Westside.

According to Kumar the brand has approached him to create a premium brand in Killer. It is a challenge for him to come up with a more modern take on jeans. The brand has decided to move away from embellishments and distressed look and to try a more tailored approach. Kumar says he is opting for unconventional cuts and tailoring that will make denims smarter and slicker. The collection will be priced between Rs 3,500 to 7,000.

It will also have a new collection of different jacket styles for men including bomber and sports jackets. The jeans will feature super-slim cuts forcing men to be super fit. Women will enjoy slick jeans and corset denim dresses and fitted mini-skirts. Commenting on the high-waist denim trend that appeared a while ago Kumar feels Indian women are heavier on the hips and that style only works on very slim women.
