International designer Diane Von Furstenberg (DVF) will be

visiting India this week. Priya Sachdev and Charu Sachdev, who introduced the brand Diane Von Furstenberg to India’s fashionistas through their store ‘Kitsch’ located at Kalaghoda, Mumbai and DLF Emporio Mall, New Delhi, are looking forward to welcome her to India. DVF is a respected name in the fashion industry and is popularly known for creating the wrap dress.

Diane von Furstenberg first entered the fashion world in 1972 with a suitcase full of jersey dresses. Two years later, she created the wrap dress, which came to symbolize power and independence for an entire generation of women. By 1976, she had sold over a million of the dresses and was featured on the cover of Newsweek. In 1997, after a hiatus from fashion, Diane re-emerged on the New York fashion scene with the re-launch of the iconic dress that had started it all and once again established her company as the global luxury lifestyle brand. DVF is now sold in over 70 countries worldwide, and has 45 freestanding shops.

Kitsch store is about all things beautiful, well-crafted and exquisitely designed clothes and accessories for a discerning audience. Kitsch manages to bring the latest from the worlds’ top luxury fashion and lifestyle brands at prices that are 5-10 per cent lower than those in the European, Middle East or East Asia markets around the world.

The boutique presents most fashion forward brands such as Stella McCartney, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexander McQueen, Halston Heritage, Alice & Olivia, YSL, Victoria Beckham and more. Following an uber chic design concept, the stores display ready to wear collection and accessories that include bags, shoes, belts and jewellery.
