Dollar Industries expects a 15 percent growth in FY14 with its

new commercial with Bollywood stars Akshay Kumar and Prabhu Deva. In the new ad Akshay Kumar is seen wearing a Dollar vest while matching steps with the dance exponent and actor Prabhu Deva. The campaign to be published across print, electronic and outdoor media to promote this new commercial is directed by R Balakrishnan, Chairman, Lowe Lintas India.

“Our association with Akshay Kumar as Dollar's brand ambassador has helped in the growth of the brand tremendously, across India. This is our third TV commercial with him. Incidentally, Akshay Kumar, Prabhu Deva and R Balki worked together for the first time. We are confident that this commercial will also become extremely popular like the previous ones", said Vinod Gupta, Managing Director, Dollar Industries.

With a turnover of Rs 456 crores in 2011-12, Dollar today is amongst the top three hosiery brands in India. The company has four manufacturing units in Kolkata, Tirupur (TN), Delhi and Ludhiana. Company enjoys 15 percent market share in the branded hosiery segment in India. The brand is currently the highest selling innerwear brand in the UAE and the Middle East. Dollar Industries also has a big market in Nepal and are exploring the African market in Nigeria to garner more export revenue.
