Dollar Industries records 28 percent growth in FY13

Hosiery major Dollar Industries has recorded a growth of

28 percent during the financial year ending March, 31, 2013. The company's turnover stood at Rs 579.47 crores as against Rs 453.54 crores in FY12. A similar growth is seen in the export revenue of the company, which registered an increase of 30 percent. The exports figure touched Rs 46.5 crores in FY13 as against Rs 33 crores in FY12.

"With the industry growth varying between 12 to 14 percent year-on-year, Dollar Industries’ growth of 28 percent in FY13 is a result of the team's aggressive marketing and advertising strategy backed by superior product range, technology upgradation and capacity expansion. Our target growth for the fiscal is 2013-14 is around Rs 650 crores", says Vinod Gupta, Managing Director, Dollar Industries.

The company has strengthened its position in the market with the presence of 700 distributors and 60,000 retailers in the country. The company also plans to float retailer schemes to increase its footprint across India. Sound advertising spends along with strategic plans to increase market penetration will help Dollar in achieving the target.

With Akshay Kumar as the brand ambassador for the Bigboss premium range of products, the company has achieved staggering growth in sales since 2011. The USP of the brand Dollar has always been its value-for-money products that target all the segments of the society. The other well known products from the house of Dollar are Wintercare thermals for the entire family and Force Go Wear, which is a casual wear collection for men.
