Dollar Industries has incurred a net loss of Rs 1.33 crore in the quarter ended March 2014 as against a net profit of Rs 2.05
crore during same quarter in previous year. Sales rose 21.34 percent to Rs 195.29 crores in the quarter ended March 2014 as against Rs 160.94 crores during the March 2013 quarter.The annual net profit rose 22.83 percent to Rs 13.72 crores in the year ended March 2014 as against Rs 11.17 crores in 2013. Sales rose 18.11 percent to Rs 684.44 crores in this fiscal as against Rs 579.47 crores during the previous year ended March 2013.
The Koklata-based industry started operations 1996. It makes hosiery innerwear for men, women and children. Dollar has sub-brands like Dollar Big Boss premium innerwear, Dollar Club Hutch, Dollar Club Midas, Dollar Club Activa. It also has a casual wear collection for men and winter thermals for the entire family. The company has manufacturing units in Kolkata, New Delhi, Ludhiana and Tirupur, with a combined installed capacity of 6,00,000 pieces a day. The company has achieved a staggering growth in terms of sales since 2011.
