eBay India ropes in Alok Agarwal as Director-Marketing

eBay India, India’s leading e-commerce marketplace has

announced the appointment of Alok Agarwal as Director-Marketing, with immediate effect. In this role, Agarwal will be responsible for making eBay India the defacto destination for online shopping in the country and driving engagement with consumers across platforms.

On his appointment, Agarwal says, “Distribution in India is complex, and with more than a decade of healthy growth, demand & supply are even more widely dispersed. The conventional multi-tier distribution model will be hard-pressed to make demand and supply meet. With my new role at eBay India, I look forward to playing match-maker between brands, entrepreneurs & consumers.”
