E-commerce brings luxury brands at a mouse-click

Awareness and growth of luxury labels are on the rise in India. The advent of

e-commerce has given a push to luxe brands. With internet reaching the hinterlands, fashion lovers across the country are able to shop for their favourite brands at the click of a mouse.

For instance, shopping portal, RockNShop (Rocknshop.com) recently launched by Priya and Charu Sachdev of famous multi-designer retail store Kitsch offers luxury labels like Marchesa, Victoria Beckham, Stella McCartney, Chloe, Halston Heritage, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen and Saint Laurent among many others. Elitify.com, started as a premier online shopping lounge for men offering high-end brands such as Ralph Lauren, Armani and Prada, has now added dedicated sections for women, kids and home. The platform has witnessed encouraging response from Tier II cities like Jaipur, Indore, Cuttack, Visakhapatnam, Guwahati and Moradabad. Now it has decided to organise trunk shows in various cities to connect with shoppers.

Squarekey.com too stocks collections by western designers and brands including BCBG, Nicole Miller and Milly and Koovs.com — a popular online-fashion destination, which also offers high street labels from the UK, recently unveiled collections in collaboration with international designers such as Patrick Cox and Melissa Odabash and Henry Holland for Indian consumers.

Factors like easy payment and convenient shopping options, accessibility and door-step-delivery are some of the reasons why e-commerce portals are becoming an instant hit with the consumers.
