Top-notch designers, a fashion magazine and a multi-designer store came together to

celebrate seven decades of fashion in a grand style in Mumbai. Fashion magazine Vogue India and multi-label designer store Ensemble brought together 10 designers with their muses—women of all ages who wore the works of various designers to prove that fashion and beauty go hand-in-hand.

At Ensemble’s flagship store in Mumbai designers Tarun Tahiliani, Varun Bahl, among others, paid homage to feminine beauty of all ages. Ensemble has an extensive client base of women in the age group of 20 to 80. So it collaborated with Vogue to celebrate these fashion lovers from different decades. Among the muses representing various designers were hairstylist Audhuna Akhtar, Bollywood actress Ira Dubey and supermodels Nina Manuel and Diana Penty.

From 1987, from the time a machine tools showroom was converted into India’s first haute couture store, Ensemble has played a key role in the journey of fashion in India. It boasts of a line of high profile designers under one roof. Set in an eye-catching industrial space in the old port neighborhood, Ensemble showcases Indian top designers and carries dresses, jackets, shirts and salwar kameezes dripping with sequins, embroidery and gems. Almost everything is for women and many items are one-offs. Also there are regular special events for collections from top designers.
