International cosmetic giant Estee Lauder is aiming to increase

its presence in the fast growing India market. As a part of this strategy, the brand is targeting the metros to open new stores. Recently, it opened a freestanding store in Palladium, Mumbai’s swanky new luxury mall. Estee Lauder currently has two other freestanding stores in India, one at Select City Walk, in New Delhi and the other at UB City, Bangalore. Over the next three years, the company plans to open in 20 locations and expand into cities like Hyderabad, Pune and Kolkata. It may be noted that Estee Lauder had first launched its MAC-brand of cosmetics through a tie-up with Indian retailer Shoppers Stop in January 2005.
“Mumbai is a key market for us in India and we are happy to reopen the Estee Lauder store at a new strategically chosen location,” says Sonia Michon Floc’hlay, Vice President and Regional Brand Director, Estée Lauder Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Besides providing Estee Lauder’s exclusive signature services, the new store will have highly-trained beauty advisors. Customers can enjoy personal makeovers and skincare consultations in a well-designed and comfortable environment. All locations in India feature the brand’s best selling products around the globe as well as specific products chosen specifically for Indian consumers.
Estee Lauder is one of world’s leading manufacturers and marketers of quality skin care, fragrance and hair care products. It’s sold at more than 18,000 locations in over 135 countries under well-recognized brand names, including Estée Lauder, Aramis, Clinique, and many more.
