Eva Danielle opens debut store in Pune

Making its India debut, Miami-based high fashion brand Eva
Danielle has launched its first outlet in Pune recently. The company plans to expand its footprint by launching at least five to seven stores in India by 2015.The collections being offered in India will be manufactured in the US. Eva Danielle, who set up the eponymous brand in 2005 in Florida, is closely involved with the entire process, from design to production, so it is against outsourcing production in India.
Eva Danielle has decided to take the franchisee route for retail expansion in India and has inked a tie up with Bangalore-based SKPJ Apparel. The company plans to set up a second store in either Delhi or Bangalore within the next four months, followed by one each in Mumbai, Chandigarh and Ludhiana at an estimated investment of Rs one crore per store. The company is targeting revenues of 0.5 million dollars (Rs 2.7 crore) from the two stores in the first year, and then targets three million dollars (Rs 16 crores) in the next few years. The merchandise will be priced in the range of Rs 10,000 to Rs 45,000.
