Farah Khan Ali opens Delhi store

Well known jewelry designer Farah Khan Ali, daughter of actor Sanjay Khan, has opened a store

‘Farah Khan Fine Jewellery Store', at the DLF Emporio Mall, Delhi. The store offers a whole array of designs in gold, diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald and other precious and semi-precious stones. For Farah Delhi was the obvious choice after Mumbai because it is a market she believes is the fashion capital of India. Women here really make an effort to dress up and look good, and have fine taste. A lot of women in the capital love bling just like her, so Delhi is very close to her heart. The minimum price of a piece at the store is Rs1,00,000. The jewelry designer does limited edition pieces. “True luxury is limited. And more than that, I get bored repeating the same piece myself and because I have so many ideas, I would rather create more pieces than do repetitive stuff," she says

The gala opening of the store saw a lot of Page 3 Delhites and Farah Khan Ali’s own clan. Besides her husband DJ Aqueel Ali, parents Sanjay and Zarine Khan and siblings Zayed, Simone and Suzanne Roshan there were Manav Gangwani, Rohit Bal, Ritu Beri, Nayanika Karan and Ritu Kumar. This is her second exclusive store after Mumbai. The 1,040 sq. ft. Delhi store has been launched in association with Navin and Deepak Mehra of AKM Mehrasons Jewellers, with whom she had first partnered in 2006.
