British leading umbrella company Fulton reported record sales for November, selling around 400.000

umbrellas across its concessions stores and website. The family run British brand and Royal Warrant holder, noted an 85% increase year on year and boosts impressive sales for 2009 with the company reporting an overall increase of 4% to date.

One of its best sellers is Fulton’s ‘Tiny’ umbrella with photographic rose print - the smallest lightweight umbrella available. Nigel Fulton, CEO comments: “This has been a brilliant couple of weeks, we are delighted to be producing a sell-out product so fitting with the country’s top point of conversation – the great British weather.”

Fulton started producing 150 umbrellas a week in 1955 and now sells 3-4 million a year in the UK alone. The company was the first to produce the lightweight umbrella and over the years has branched out to produce rain boots as well as a ‘Designers by’ range with iconic designers like Lulu Guinness, Ella Doran and Cath Kidston.
