G&D, Metro Shoes tie-up for Disney footwear retail

G&D Trade Zone, authorized licensee of Disney footwear

has signed an MOU to retail Disney footwear at selected Metro Shoes stores across India. Disney shoes will be available at 50 stores from March 2013 onwards. Metro has selected all important places like Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Delhi/NCR and Kolkata apart from state capitals to sell Disney premium collection.

Explains B D Nathani, CEO, G&D Trade Zone, “There is great synergy between Metro and Disney shoes as large number of buyers at Metro are ladies and eventually all the buying for kids is done by mothers, hence we felt that there can’t be better tie up to sell Disney at premium Metro stores.”

Last year, G&D had roped in ex-Director Marketing of Lotto Sports, B D Nathani on board as CEO to launch Disney footwear range in India. Nathani is a footwear veteran with more than 25 years of experience in the field.
