Gangji to open 30 Libas stores across India

While working on red carpet lines, which will be unveiled during store launches in Dubai and Ludhiana,
designer duo Riyaz Gangji and Reshma are planning to expand the footprint of ‘Libas’ across India and Nepal. The stores in Ludhiana and Dubai are will open their doors to the shoppers next month and new ones are being planned for Nepal, Raipur, Delhi and Chandigarh.The company has appointed Kashiff Khan as Director and Nishant Mahimtura as Chairman for the brand. Both handle expansion, accounts and all other operations. They are looking at opening 30 stores of Libas in the next few years in metros and Tier II cities.
The new collection on the cards is all about sequined jackets, lot of multi-coloured layering in lehangas , sherwanis and bandhgalas in linens and hand-printed motifs. Gangji is currently busy creating designs for the second edition of Indian peace concert to be held in Delhi.
Libas started with four karigars and a part-time master has come a long way. Today, the company has grown with its presence through larger store formats. Plans are afoot to add jewellery, make-up centres, shoes, accessories as a part of their new stores in Ludhiana and Dubai.
