Gas the Italian fashion and lifestyle brand has tied up with Diamond Footcare to enter

the Indian footwear market through its worldwide Licensee BR.EX based in Switzerland. Initially, a footwear collection for men targeting the mid to high-end segment would be retailed in India. With a wide portfolio to match up with the lifestyle products in India, Gas’ footwear collection carries an admirable range for autumn/winter. The collection will be available at exclusive stores, modern retail chain stores, footwear specialty stores and MBOs in all major cities.

Diamond Footcare would act as the exclusive distributor of Gas Footwear in India. Increasing demand for branded apparel and footwear in India has opened opportunities for international labels like Gas. The Indian footwear market is expected to grow to Rs 47, 000 crores by 2025, which further boosts international brands’ interest in the Indian market.

Grotto SpA designs, produces and distributes collections of clothing, footwear and accessories with the Gas brand for men, women and children. The company was launched at the beginning of the 70’s out of the passion and creativity of Claudio Grotto, MD and President-Founder, in Chiuppano (Vicenza), in the heart of North-East Italy. It is determined to further expand its presence, particularly in Europe, the Far East and India. Diamond Footcare came into existence in 1974 with the manufacturing of PVC shoes. Its turnover in footwear alone for 2010 -11 was Rs 120 crores.
