Global Desi debuts in Bhopal

Continuing its aggressive retail strategy, Global Desi, the brand from designer Anita Dongre’s stable has opened its

first store at D B Mall, Bhopal. It is the company’s 63rd exclusive brand outlet in India. Spread over 549 square foot, the new store is offering the Spring/Summer 2014 ‘Mela’ collection of fusion-wear inspired by Indian village fairs. The collection includes ensembles like chic and edgy outfits in fluid and breathable fabrics like Liva, georgettes and chiffon. The range has on offer, multi-hued shift dresses, sheer maxis, printed crop tops, skirts, shorts, bralets, printed jackets and midi skirts in vibrant hues, prints and designs.

And, the contemporary western wear label and Global Desi, the India inspired brand under designer Anita Dongre’s And Designs India are rapidly spreading their wings in India and abroad. Launched in 2007, Global Desi is currently available at exclusive brand outlets and multi brand stores across the country. Global Desi opened its first outlet in Mauritius in 2013. Plans are underway to open new outlets in other destinations across the world.
