Global Desi in New Delhi

Designer Anita Dongre’s brain-child Global Desi is spreading its wings across the country.

Dongre recently opened a new store in Delhi’s Rajouri Market. The 400 sq. ft. store offers Global Desi collection in its trademark exciting prints and vibrant shades. The store exhibits a collection of Indo-western apparels and stylishly captures the best of both worlds. Inspired by traditional Indian motifs, the collection is an assortment of fresh pastels and captivating prints. The company is also planning to add accessories like footwear, stoles and bags to its existing product range.

According to Mukesh Sawlani, Managing Director, And Designs India they have received an overwhelming response from customer’s in Delhi, which has encouraged them to extend their presence in the city. In less than four functional years, Global Desi is being retailed through 180 plus points of sale, which includes a mix of exclusive stores and 73 other established shop-in-shops like Lifestyle, Kapsons, Pantaloons, Central and Shoppers Stop to name a few. It has robust plans to provide stylish clothes at value prices and to expand aggressively by reaching 100 exclusive stores in the next two years and also by increasing their visibility at shop-in-shops.
