Gurgaon Fashion Week to start on April 17

Adding to the endless list of fashion weeks being held in India, another one titled Gurgaon Fashion Week (GFW) is
scheduled to take place from April 17-20, this year. Spread over four days, the first fashion gala will present collections by designers like Ritu Kumar, Surveen Chawla, Panache by Aarja and many others. The event promises to provide a platform for business with the presence of some strong buyers, while providing information about latest trends of the season.With about 14-16 fashion shows on the anvil, the designer labels on the list also include: Pooja and Urvika, 09 by Janhavi Gupta, Reet/Homesaaz by Kaveri Batla, Kavita Tulsiani, Umaarth by Shagun, Shaa by Shweta and Red Paws Rescue, an NGO that will be making their presence felt through booths and fashion shows. Besides, BMW, Elle, Kanishq Bhardwaj, Har-yarn, Rivayat bu Meera & Rohit, Budweiser, Bar-Devils, Juvalia & You, Wess (NGO) and Biba have lent their support to the event.
Apart from fashion shows and designers, the GFW will also host models, make-up artists, hair stylists, choreographers and manufacturers to raise their professional standards, while developing a mutually beneficial tie ups with similar councils in fashion hubs and businesses. The opening ceremony on April 17 will see audiences crooning to the tunes of Daler Mehndi, Anamika Grover and Sandeep Marwah.
