Helios to open 13 stores in FY ’13

Helios, the multi-brand watch retailer from Titan Industries has plans to open another 13

stores in different parts of the country by the end of this fiscal. While opening its 37th store in Tamil Nadu, Arun Narayan, Business Head, Helios said that there would be nearly 2,000 watches from the latest collections from over 15 brands in a Helios store.

With the launch of another three stores in the next few days across India, the brand would have 50 stores . It has plans to open more such stores in the future, depending on the success and feedback. Helios’ portfolio includes a collection of around 30 global premium and luxury lifestyle watches like Tommy Hilfiger, Tag Heuer, Pierre Cardin, Emporio Armani, DKNY, Fossil, FCUK and Esprit. The company is also looking at bringing more international labels under its fold.

Helios is tracking a top line of around Rs 100 crores and is growing at about 25 per cent on a yearly basis. After deciding to sell off Swiss watch brand Favre-Leuba recently, it is now focusing on their own Swiss label, Xylys, which will help them grow in the lucrative premium segment, Titan is also targeting to be a complete lifestyle accessories label. Titan’s Fastrack has already entered into bags, belts, wallets segment and is looking to enter motorcycle helmets apart from adding newer categories such as fashion footwear.
