Hidesign brings in Narresh Mehtta as COO

Bags and accessories brand Hidesign has appointed Narresh Mehtta as the Chief Operating Officer. He will be based in Mumbai

and report to Dilip Kapur, President, Hidesign. Mehtta holds a postgraduate degree in Management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai University. He joins Hidesign with 25 years of experience spanning across various industries such as FMCG, engineering, healthcare, apparel and retailing. In his new role, he will be responsible to oversee the daily operations, provide company-wide alignment and help shape the company strategies. His last assignment was at Raymond as Director-Business Development and franchise retail operations.

Homegrown premium leather accessory-maker Hidesign, which created a foothold on the international map before retailing its products in India, is now planning to create a line of affordable products to retail at multi-brand outlets (MBOs). The aim is to compete with in-house labels of MBOs like Shoppers Stop, Westside and Lifestyle and other brands that sell products at heavy discounts to woo consumers.
