High tech for the apparel industry at Texprocess

Texprocess will show the latest apparel-technology trends from
24 to 27 May 2011. At the new trade fair in Frankfurt, the world’s leading manufacturers will present their high-tech solutions for the apparel industry, e.g., cutting and folding machines, sewing, embroidery, knitting and printing machines, new joining techniques, such as welding and ultra-sound, needles, yarns, components, finishing, conveying technology, and IT solutions for pattern design and product management.With Source it!, Texprocess offers the apparel industry a genuine additional benefit. At the Source it! area, fashion labels can find out about the procurement situation in the different regions of the world from the contract manufacturers and national participations taking part. It will even be possible to find manufacturing facilities for their new collections. To date, registrations for national participations have been received from Bulgaria, Lithuania, Mauritius, Portugal, Poland, Romania, Tunisia, Turkey and Vietnam.
At the Texprocess Forum on the Source it! area, there will be a range of interesting lectures on, for example, changes in the procurement markets and customs regulations, as well as on sustainability, traceability and many other subjects. Another highlight at Texprocess will be the Texprocess Innovation Award exhibition of award-winning products from Texprocess exhibitors. With presentations by fashion schools, polytechnics and universities, Texprocess Campus will focus on the needs of young people. Additionally, there will be a job exchange to help young people launch their careers in the industry.

Admission tickets also entitle the holder to attend Techtextil, International Trade Fair for Technical Textiles and Nonwovens, which is being held concurrently with Texprocess. At Techtextil, visitors will find, for example, a broad spectrum of innovative apparel textiles.
