House of Jaipur to unveil resort wear

Today House of Jaipur will host an exclusive fashion

show to launch its new line of high-end resort wear. And as Dhisha Moorjani says the talent behind the event, the overall theme of the pieces are ethnic yet with a touch of bling. The new line of clothing targets people belonging to higher income groups and those who like indulging in leisure activities like sailing.

Moorjani who has 10 years of experience under her belt, said she has been working with designers out of India to ensure that she comes up with a particular and special kind of product for her clients. She is working with designers from New Delhi, Jaipur and Mumbai to create this exclusive collection, which will represent the Caribbean woman with that little extra touch of glitz and glamour. She started designing for home decor and textiles and did a few ethnic Indian pieces, but she didn’t find huge demand for Indian wear, so decided to create an exclusive clothing line.

The designs in the new collection would be in cottons embroidered and emblazoned. There is also a whole section of whites. The show will also see some international buyers apart from the local high-fashion lovers.
