The ongoing 10th ICC World Cup being held in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is perhaps the

number one sporting event in the subcontinent this year, and Swiss watchmaker Hublot has wasted no time in riding on its crest. They have chosen Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh to be their brand ambassador. Ashok Goel of Hublot India says that this was the first time the luxury brand was associating with a sportsperson in India. He declined to divulge the size of the deal. Commercials with Singh endorsing the brand are expected to be on air during the cricket tournament.

Hubolt brand has had a legacy of sports stars endorsing their product, be it Diego Maradona the Argentine football sensation or the Swiss cross country skier Dario Cologna. Harbhajan Singh has the distinction of being the first Indian brand ambassador for Hublot, a testimony to Singh’s superstar status in international cricket.

Bought over by premium international luxury brand Louis Vuitton, Hublot was launched in India and China in 2008 with the successful Hublot Big Bang Collection. This premium collection was priced from Euro 8000 to over Euro 300,000. Representing the Art of Fusion in Watches, Hublot symbolize the fusion between tradition and future through its design, knowledge and materials. With the Big Bang concept, Hublot revisits the founding principles of Swiss watch making combining style, elegance and reliability.
