IFFD’s fashion week to promote young talent

The Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) is

organising India Runway Week (IRW) from August 29 to September 1, 2013 at Mapple Exotica in New Delhi to promote and establish young designers.

The event will see 24 designers utilising the platform to showcase their collections. The list would also include some well established names as well. Some of the participating names include Rajdeep Ranawat, Amit Talwar, Sagar Mehra, Deepa Arora, Rosy Ahluwalia, Swati Modo, Akanksha Arora, Minakshi Shangle, Rakesh Aggarwal, Geetanjali Rawat, Digvijay Singh among others.

The fashion event promises to be the representation of traditional, contemporary and collaborative fashion, textiles and accessories inspired by communities around India. The IRW will not only showcase unique designs and products but will also present national and international delegates a range of cultural performances, tourism experiences and visual art. It also features a Fashion Fair Marketplace, direct purchasing links and networking opportunities for industry buyers, retailers and consumers.
