Indus-League Clothing opens Manchester United store

Future Group-owned Indus-League Clothing has launched an

exclusive Manchester United store in Mumbai. It is the Premier League club’s first Manchester United store in India to market the League merchandise comprising apparels for adults and children, memorabilia and accessories.

In the first phase, three stand-alone stores will be opened in Mumbai, Kolkata and New Delhi. Manchester United Merchandise is a high-end sportswear brand catering to its fan-base across the country. The company plans to have about six Manchester United Merchandise stores in the coming year.

The brand is targeting Rs 10 crore turnover in the first year and expects to achieve an increase it to Rs 50 crore in the next three years. The merchandise will also be available through store-in-store formats in select Pantaloons, Central and Planet Sports outlets across the country, in addition to the Manchester United exclusive brand outlets.

To commemorate the launch of Manchester United Merchandise in India, the company has organised a consumer contest called ‘Kick off to Old Trafford’, where four winners will be given a chance to watch the Manchester United versus Liverpool Match live at Old Trafford on February 11. Fans will also get to personalise their jersey by choosing a name and number, and the customised jerseys will be printed and delivered instantly. Manchester United is the most successful football team in the world with an estimated Indian fan base of 20 million.
