New and upcoming designers who face hurdles
in getting a foothold and sustaining in the competitive world of fashion can look forward to the International College of Fashion now. The college has decided to offer training to build entrepreneurial skills to help new designers to achieve their plans of becoming known names in the fashion industry.While designer hubs like Shahpur Jat, The Gallery on MG and Hauz Khas village in Delhi house many upcoming fashion entrepreneurs, they lack sufficient knowledge and skills in the fields of new product development, change management, innovation and leadership. To help them encounter these problems, the International College of Fashion plans to have a course in marketing applied to the fashion industry.
The courses provided in fashion entrepreneurship ranges from MBA, Post-Graduation Diploma and BBA with the flexibility of regular and distance learning. These programs aim to help the students to develop the skills required to evaluate business opportunities. They also aim at linking creative thinking with business thinking in order to nurture creative and flexible entrepreneurs and creators of change. Through intensive mentoring from industry experts and various placement opportunities, students are also supported to perfect personal aptitudes while developing the techniques and skills associated with entrepreneurial spirit.
