Invista, one of the world’s largest integrated producers

of polymers and fibers has associated with Exim Knits to develop fabrics with Lycra fiber that possesses the dual qualities of excellent recovery and enhanced elongation. Combining Invista’s technological expertise and Exim Knits’s state of the art facilities, the customer-centric fabric innovation caters to all the apparel industry segments.

The single jersey knitted fabric comprises of a blend of cotton or cotton synthetics and Lycra fiber. The fabric innovation delivers three key attributes that are most important to consumers - freedom of movement, comfort and durability. These fabrics meet stringent Lycra fiber certification standards, therefore the garment manufacturers, brands and retailers will have an added advantage of using free Lycra fiber hang tag with each garment.

P Padmanabhan, Director, Exim Knits pointed out that when subjected to a stretch test for an hour by an independent research and testing laboratory, the fabric displayed length and width recovery of 93 per cent and 92.1 per cent and length and width growth of 1.1 per cent and 2.4 per cent respectively.
