After an overwhelming response from customers and partners,

Invista, the world’s largest manufacturer of polymers and fibres is all set to enthrall Mumbai with the next edition of Lycra Rendezvous on October, 16 and 17, 2013. The two day event will see a showcase of Invista’s prominent innovations for the denim and intimate apparel segments with technologies like Coolmax fabric, Thermolite fabric, Lycra beauty fabric, lycra T400 fibre and easy set Lycra fibre.
With a focus on bringing in global trends for the Indian market, Invista has worked with a number of customers in India to develop garments especially for the Indian consumer of today. All these will be on display over the two days of the event.

Andrew Evans, Managing Director, South Asia, Invista says “India as a textile market is vast and there is always a new insight from customers in a different geography. After Delhi and Bangalore, Mumbai Rendezvous is our way of interacting with the customers in this region to understand the mindset and incorporate their ideas and suggestions into our future innovations. At Invista, we aim to provide comfort and fashion together to our consumers through partnerships with some of the most influential fabric mills, garment makers, brands, retailers and designers. We are showcasing such innovative products at the Lycra rendezvous in Mumbai and are looking forward to great networking opportunities and exchange of ideas at this event.”

The first day of the event will revolve around knits and will present innovations especially for the women consumers, who are always searching for garments that make them look sensuous and well-shaped. By using the Lycra beauty fabric for shape wear from Invista, partners like Prism Knits and Bodycare Creations have developed special slimming leggings, which will be on display. Ethnic wear collections from Arvind that have been made using innovative fabric concepts from Invista will also be presented. The day will also see presentations on performance fibres and fabrics in knits focused on coolmax fabric for sweat management and thermolite fabric for light-weight non-bulky thermal wear.

Denims and Invista’s solutions to develop performance garments will be the spotlight on day 2. Presentations will include topics like developing and working on stretch denims with Invista’s technologies like Lycra T400 fibre and easy set lycra fibre, with a special focus on laundry and finishing guidelines for stretch denim. With the objective of developing products that satisfy the new age consumers’ need for rough and tough denims, Invista has worked with mills to even educate them about the technical aspects of using these technologies.
