Delhi-based fashion portal Jabong is partnering with designer Rohit Bal to launch

an exclusive ethnic wear line this April. Plans are also on to cash in on high margin categories like apparel, shoes and accessories, Jabong would launch its in-house labels next month. This is part of a strategy that many leading online retailers are adapting to deal with increasingly competition in this space. They are innovating in different ways to pull in more traffic and increase sales on their sites.

After recently announcing the launch of British fashion label Dorothy Perkins through its platform, Jabong has also partnered with Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) to provide them with the Jabong Stage (formerly known as Stage One), an upgraded platform to present fresh and cutting- edge styles. The company has inked a partnership deal with LFW for next four seasons, beginning Summer/Resort 2014.

The Jabong Stage will be a key highlight at LFW and all through the five days, from March 12 to 16, 2014, the platform will host fashion shows, fashion workshops, seminars, launches and much more. Select designer collections will available on Jabong.com enabling fashion enthusiasts from across the country and worldwide to wear creations right off the ramp.

Having launched brands like Spanish casual wear brand Desigual and Italian clothing and shoe brand Geox, in the coming weeks Jabong will launch UK’s high street fashion brand Miss Selfridge along with Dorothy Perkins.
