Luxury men’s lifestyle chain from Gujarat, JadeBlue, which designs colourful attires of current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, plans to

open 15 new large format stores across India over the next 5 years. With an investment of Rs 45 -Rs 50 crores, the chain aims to woo the young with its popular in-house brands including the Modi Kurta label, named after Modi.

The over three decades old Ahmedabad-based company is witnessing 20-25 percent growth per annum, that recently opened doors to its 20th store in Pune, retails a range of fashion brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Jack &Jones, Calvin Klein, Ed Hardy, GAS, Gant, Levis, Being Human, US Polo, United Colours of Benetton, Burnt Umber, Pepe, Louis Philllipe, Arrow, Wills, as well as a few private labels.

Targeting total revenues of Rs 300 crores by the fiscal year 2017, the company reported sales revenues of Rs 182 crores in FY14 and plans to cross Rs 225 crores this year. Its in-house brands JadeBlue, Greenfibre, Metal, JB Studio, Azania and Modi Kurta contribute 33 percent revenues to the total turnover.

They have been designing stylish iconic Modi Kurta, and Modi Jacket since 1989, these costs around Rs 1,200 – Rs 3,000 and Rs 2,800 – Rs 6,000 respectively, and are available in 12 varieties and 20 shades. The company also provides finest fabrics from around the world such as ErmenegildoZegna, Scabal, Dormeuil, Reda, Vitale Barberis, Raymond, Reid & Taylor, J Hampstead, Lombard, Thomas Mason, SIC Tess, Tessitura Albeni, Monti, and Soktas under its roof. Besides Gujarat, company’s products are also retailed in Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh.
