Designer Jaya Misra unveiled her resort wear collection having kaftans and cover-ups inspired by Bohemian

lifestyle. She has used flares, layers, asymmetrical cuts on one shouldered long kaftans and teamed these up with interesting kimono sleeve and raglan sleeves, giving a twist to the resort wear.

“The collection captures aspects of bohemian fashion which is clearly reflected in every design,” the designer, whose strength lies in bridal and ethnic wear for modern urban women, says adding, “The collection pays ode to the confidence of bohemians who enjoy their life to the fullest and love their liberty. The pattern used for the collection carefully links each design with other, but at the same time each of them are so different from the other one.”

The colour palette of the designs moves from ink blue, mint green, fuchsia, and mint blue in fabrics like chiffon and satin. The collection is highlighted with antique broaches.

After graduating from Nift, Misra started her company Lustrouz in 2005, a house that seeks to interpret traditional Indian crafts and design aesthetics in a contemporary language. The key phrase that runs through her creations is ‘ethnic-innovative’, with special emphasis on quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship, utisiling the skills of the finest local craftspeople.
