Josh & Vedangi to debut at WIFW

Winners of the coveted ‘Let’s Design’ competition, Josh and Vedangi will debut with their collection

for Spring/Summer 2014 at the Hi 5 show, a part of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week, on October 13, 2013. Organized by the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), Asia's biggest five-day fashion will take place October 9-13, 2013 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.

Conceptualized by Cotton Council International (CCI) to educate and inspire young designers to work with cotton, its ‘Let’s Design’ competition has grown to become India’s premier design competition. The aim is to nurture young talent while igniting a passion for working with cotton fabric. Taking cue from the competition, the collections being showcased by both designers will be predominantly cotton.

“At Cotton Council International, we understand how important it is to nurture young talent in the fashion industry,” says Agnieszka Fijol, Head of Consumer Marketing in India for CCI, adding, “Josh and Vedangi are great advocates for cotton, using high quality fabrics in their collections and we’re delighted to be working with them”.

Commenting on their debut show, Sunil Sethi, President, FDCI adds, “FDCI has always been supportive of emerging talent and keeping our commitment to the winning designers of the show Let’s Design 5 of participation at WIFW, we look forward to what these young designers have to present. The excitement is building up as both these designers will be showing their cotton collection.”
