Joshipura launches new collection

Fashion designer Namrata Joshipura recently launched her Autumn/Winter collection

‘Global Aesthetics’ at Evoluzione, in Bangalore. The mix and match range in pure silk, consists of tunics, tops, dresses and kurtas. The handmade feel of her collection, the surface treatment, the ornamentation and use of colours sets her the new collection apart.

She says that her love for travel and trekking is the main source of inspiration for her designs. She has been able to create a collection that can be worn by anyone, irrelevant of geography, age, race and point of view. Indian fashion, according to her, has become seamless and the designs are globally appealing.

With roots in Delhi, Joshipura, a graduate of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), started her own label in India and retailed for three years. Later she moved to New York after marriage. She lived there for 10 years while bringing out collections in India and the US, Middle East and Japan.
