Kansin Group launches e-store, Pehraan.com

Kansin Group, a premium exporter of garments

and leather products for 30 years, catering primarily to European markets, has once again ventured in the Indian e-commerce space with the launch of Pehraan.com, a web exclusive brand for ethnic wear. Conceptualised and launched by Gobind Pahwa, Vice Chairman and Narinder Mahajan, CEO, Shopnineteen, Pehraan offers exclusive apparel line for women and focuses on shipping and delivery of the products within 24 hours with their automated backend technology.

Instead of creating a separate category under their already existing web-brand for women, Shopnineteen.com, Kansin decided to introduce an altogether new online store Pehraan targeting consumers of ethnic wear in contrast to Shopnineteen.com, which has influences of western style.

According to a recent report by First Data Corporation and ICICI Merchant Services, the Indian e-commerce market has the potential to grow between $125 billion (over Rs 6,00,000 crores) and $260 billion (Rs 13,96,723 crores) by 2024-25. The report ‘E-Commerce: A boon for the current economic downturn’, says that urban Indian consumers are now confident enough to make online purchases of up to Rs 25,000, from Rs 2,000-5,000 earlier.
