Kapil and Monika’s bridal collection

Designers Kapil and Monika Arora are making a mark with their new bridal collection.

The new collection, intends to add Swarovski sparkle to the most momentous occasion of one’s life and make it a ruby and emerald-studded affair. It comprises of jeweled tones like emeralds, rubies and Swarovski crystals. There is also a strong play of fabrics this season with different textures, such as the use of net with gold embellished motifs. Lehengas are teamed with corsets in crushed tissues. The collection also involves heavy zardozi artmanship and the outfits complement the 21st century bride. The designers known for their fashion label Kapil and Monika are retailing couture bridal and Indo-western wear from the chain Kimaya.

The duo began their journey by establishing their own fashion retail store in New Delhi. And have remained true to the consistency of their designs and quality of their product throughout their tenure in the fashion industry. Kapil and Monika have also made a mark for themselves as costume designers for Bollywood celebrities like Mugdha Godse, Diana Hayden, Mahie Gill to Prachi Desai and Karishma Kapoor. Femininity forms the essence of the label with styles that signify youth, glamour and sophistication. Their design philosophy is romantic and the styles are luxurious yet understated. Their garments have a strong emphasis on fabric, cut and color, are meticulously crafted and the designs are all about shape and flattering silhouettes.
