Karmik to open first multi-designer store in Pakistan

Karmik from Kimaya Fashions has entered Pakistan

and is planning to open its first multi-designer fashion house in the country. This is the company’s first international franchise. The agreement was signed between Pradeep Hirani, Chielf Managing Directorof Karmik and Sheikh Aftab Arshad, Asad Amin Sheikh, Asif Amin Sheikh of Arshadsons from Pakistan.

From Rohit Bal, JJ Valaya, Anamika Khanna, Neeta Lulla, Rocky S to Rina Dhaka, Ritu Beri, Shantanu & Nikhil, Ranna Gill, Kavita Bhartia, Karmik is going to introduce India’s top designers to Pakistan through its first store in Lahore, which would be inaugurated by end of August.

As a part of this master-franchise deal with Lahore-based fashion retailer Arshadsons, the plan is to open six stores in cities such as Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad over the next three years, followed by smaller towns with an estimated investment of around 3 million dollars (Rs 18 crores) over three years.

Karmik is a designer-wear retail revolution which was launched at Lakme Fashion Week last year. With 10 stores already present in leading cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Chennai, Amritsar, Jaipur and 12 more in the pipeline, the company would have 60 point of sales by 2015.
