Keivom collaborates with Gaurav Gupta for LFW

UK-based accessory designer Mawi Keivom has collaborated with designer Gaurav Gupta to

showcase her exclusive designs from ‘Indian Odyssey’ collection during the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2014.

Manipur-born Keivom returns to her homeland 12 years after establishing the ‘Mawi’ brand in London. Keivom will present 30s looks of bejeweled decadence that will be complimented by a collection by Gupta. DHL, co-sponsored Lakmé Fashion Week, will present the Keivom show on March 13, 2014.

The show is set to be one of the key highlights of the season, celebrating Keivom’s debut on the Indian catwalk with Gaurav Gupta’s elegant designs. Keivom says she is excited to showcase her collection in her home country for the first time. “It’s an honor to be a part of Lakmé Fashion Week. I hope this feature on the Indian ramp is a first of many more to come”, explains Keivom.

Gupta is thrilled with this unique association and says he has enjoyed every bit of working with Keivom. He has specially created garments that perfectly accentuate her accessories collection.
