Kenneth Cole opens first store in Mumbai

Luxury brand Kenneth Cole has opened its first store in India at

Phoenix Market City, Mumbai in association with Reliance Brands. Spread over 2,000 sq. ft, the outlet will sell Kenneth Cole New York products including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, footwear, accessories, watches, jewellery, handbags, briefcases, and small leather goods.

The brand entered India through a long-term license agreement with Reliance Brands and will be available across 20 exclusive stores over the next 3-5 years. Over the next six months, five more stores will open including Palladium Mall in Mumbai, Ambience Mall in Vasant Kunj and Gurgaon in New Delhi, Elante Mall in Chandigarh, and Phoenix Market City in Chennai.

For women, the store offers formal wear, dresses, jeans, and jackets with prices starting from Rs 4,000. The product range for men include casual and dress shirts, trousers, chinos, denims, and suiting. It will also stock men’s footwear offering a wide range from loafers and oxfords to boots and casual sneakers. The starting price for men’s wear is Rs 3,000.

Kenneth Cole Productions designs, sources, and markets footwear, handbags, apparel, and accessories under the brand names Kenneth Cole New York, Kenneth Cole Reaction, and Unlisted, as well as footwear under the proprietary trademark Gentle Souls. The company has also granted third party licenses for the production of men’s, women’s and children’s apparel as well as fragrances, watches, jewellery, eyewear, and several other accessory categories.
