Kitex Garments, the third largest supplier of infant garments globally earns 85
percent of revenues from the sale of infant wear and 15 percent from fabrics to Kitex Children wear. Now the company aims to take the lead in infant wear market over the next few years. Nearly 100 percent of its revenues are contributed from exports, with 90 percent coming from the US and the rest 10 percent from Europe.The company saw a 40 percent growth last year owing to capacity expansion and it further aims to double it over the next three years. Kitex expects to maintain a revenue growth of 20-25 percent in future owing to improvement in efficiencies in production and labour. The plans are in the pipeline to merge Kitex Garments and Kitex Childrenwear in FY16 apart from registering its own brand name in the US by the end of this year. Kitex Garments expects topline of Rs 550 crores in FY15 and Rs 750 crores in FY16.
Kitex Garments is a 100 percent export-oriented unit specialising in garments for babies up to 24 months old. Kitex products are now sold through 9,000 outlets in 70 countries, including departmental stores such as Walmart, and Target.
