Lacoste Live to add women’s wear

The premium leisure wear men’s brand Live by Lacoste has decided to add women’s wear

to its line. So far, the brand’s collection was restricted to men. However, from next season (February-March) Lacoste Live for women would display collections in apparel, footwear and bags. Lacoste Live is a smaller boutique format targeted at the fashion-oriented youth. It opened its first showroom in Delhi in July. Apart from adding the women’s range, the company also plans to add 2-3 more stores in Delhi and Mumbai and would expand the number of stores to 64 in the next three years. It is looking at exploring Ahmedabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Indore and Kochi markets further in future.

The brand follows a two seasons spring/summer and fall/winter. Every year select special editions are co-created by designers across the globe, who interpret Lacoste elegance in their own creativity. Lacoste also has a wide collection for boys and girls consisting of polos, T-shirts, shirts, trousers, denims, skirts, dresses, jackets, sweaters and accessories. Keeping in mind the demand for branded kidswear, it has begun focusing on the kidswear range now. Lacoste footwear and accessories like eyewear, jewelry and perfumes are also gaining ground in India. The casual style shoes and floaters as well as its leather collection are popular among the youth. Coming winter it will have accessories like mufflers, gloves, scarves, socks et al.
