Lavie to venture into ladies’ footwear, jewellery

Leather bags and accessories brand Lavie, a part

of Planet Retail, is planning to venture into new segments like ladies footwear, watches and jewellery over the next two-three years. Sandeep Goenka, Brand Head, Lavie Bags says the company they want to be the preferred accessories player for women. The range would include eyewear, time-wear and jewelry. The company will make its presence felt step-by-step by the year 2015-16.

The handbags are currently being outsourced from across the world, and is exclusive to Lavie, but the company is now looking at establishing its own manufacturing unit in India. The fashion and lifestyle brand is eyeing a turnover of Rs 120 crores by 2015/16. Lavie bags are available at multi-brand retail outlets besides seven exclusive stores and they are looking adding another 10-15 in the next year.

Launched in 2010, Lavie is a fashion lifestyle brand that targets the consummate Gen Y young woman who is multi-faceted and successful, independent and vivacious. It imbibes the dynamism of colours, youth and spunk. The brand embodies the free and bold spirit of the new age young Indian woman who values her individuality and is high on life.
