LFW to promote Manipur handloom products

With the aim to promote Manipuri handloom products in the

international and national market, clothes designed and made from Manipur handloom products will be showcased during the Lakme Fashion Week.

To promote the Manipur handloom, an exclusive fashion show showcasing the clothes and garments made from the Manipuri handloom would be included in the Lakme Fashion Week. During the fashion parade, models will be walking down the ramp clad in garments made from Manipur handloom products only.

As per sources, the Commerce and Industries Department, Government of Manipur would also be sanctioning a handsome amount in connection with the showcasing of Manipuri handloom products during the Lakme Fashion Week. The aim is obviously to popularize and promote Manipur handloom products to the outside world. Apart from showcasing garments made from handloom products of Manipur, it is also being planned to display a whole lot of varieties of garments during the fashion week.
